Break Through

-Winter leaves-

This picture for me, didn't start as a cool idea. I was extremely fascinated with macro and wanted to do some random plant photos, and I especially liked the way this turned out. I set the camera to "AV" (Aperture Priority mode), to get a good "depth of field" kind of feel to it. So I went and sharpened the picture up a bit, and decided it's something I wanted to keep.

The Forest Home

This is a picture I made a couple of years ago using black sharpie and colored pencils. I really enjoyed making this picture, especially since it was made on a piece of paper that I thought that I wouldn't be able to use (it had a Cheetos stain on it that is now covered up by one of the stones of the well). I drew this picture for fun, not for a class or anything. I think I was inspired to draw it by a Washington DC trip I had taken earlier that year during which I had visited an Amish community. I loved the homes that the people lived in: for every generation that lived in the house, the owners added a new wing or level on to it, giving the house a charming ramshackle quality. I was hoping to show that in this picture, although it didn't quite turn out the way I expected... but I think that made me like it all the more!

Melted Crayons

Jake and Hiedi

Brook Reed

This is a picture of a good friend at the Home Coming football game. This picture is an example of a backlit portrait. It was at Golden hour, settings were perfect and the lighting was amazing in the back ground. I used fill flash with it to add a more crisp image.

TIGER

This tiger I drew with pencil for my friends mom for her birthday. It took about for days to do I did this my freshman year.

NADIKA

This piece is of my friend's baby, Nadika. I did this for her for her 18th birthday. This is a scratch board and it took about a week to do.

The Unfinished Tiger

this painting is "paint by numbers" just in unfinished form, i did it on purpose and thought it looked better this way.

First Post!

I found these spiderwebs on the side of my house before school one morning. I edited this by changing the levels and the temperature.

Check it! <---

My idea for this picture came from thinking about different macro shots take, seeming as at the time, I enjoyed doing macro the most. I researched different photos based on my idea, and I found a photographer who, all he did was take pictures of urban statues that varied from different cultures. I was inspired to do something similair, so I took a macro picture of the guitar neck, and distorted it to make it look old.

KID CUDI

This is a drawing of Kid Cudi, I drew it for my bestfriend after we went to the Kid Cudi concert this summer. I drew this with pencil. The drawing took about three days.

Rain Helmet

I started this piece while I was on vacation in Arkansas. We had a really dry summer, so I was ready for some rain. I started sketching in my journal during a break while I was volunteering at the zoo. I used graphite.

Slide

This is just a sketch I did last year. It is a simple pencil drawing of a jelly fish.

This guy..

This is my first painting from last year in ap art. It's mostly acrylic paints, but I added the face in with fine point sharpie. For my first I thought i did alright! The middle cloud is suppose to symbolize the illuminati triangle, just a FYI.

Deadmau5

This is my picture I sketched of Deadmau5, the best house/techno artist ever.

Seagull Silhouette

This photo was taken in Lincoln city on one of the last days of our family beach trip. I took this photo because the sunset looked really good and I really like taking silhouette photos. It just so happened that a seagull landed on the rock that I was taking a picture of.

These are some of the first pictures I took, with my first camera, over 2 years ago. I took my camera with me, everyday, and just took pictures of the things that I saw. I didn't really know how to adjust the settings, but now I do.

thingo.

This is a drawing that i made during the paper crane project. It is not fully complete. I used graphite and ballpoint pen.
