Zach Bagley Last year pictures
This is a piece I did in prismacolor marker(cool grey) last year. I really like the balance of light and dark in it.
In this piece I took water color and let it run around on the paper. After that i drew faces, outlined them in india ink, then colored the faces with colored pencil. I wanted to put the focal point on the screaming face.

Jackee's Art Shizzam!!!

Junior year second semester during Delaney's 6th period. The assignment was to make something organic. I decided to make a starfish, the white glaze didn't turn out glossy but still made the starfish look nice giving it more texture.

Made this Junior year, it was the last assignment we did in Delaney's 6th period. I was a bit lost on what to do with paint, glaze wouldn't have turned out too well (i was also out of time) so this is my first time using acrylic paint in pottery.

Also made during my Junior year in Delaney's class. I like the color a lot but the glaze was a hassle to use, it would dry and then peel off by itself.... so I ended up repainting this piece over 3 times before it was safely put into the kiln for final firing.

My third piece for the blog, made over the summer. I used a wine glass filled with water and an olive oil bottle for the "wine" bottle. I painted it in green watercolor, used black watercolor mixed with green water color for the shadows, and used red and gray pastel for the background.

This is the final project i completed in Drawing 1. I made it out of graphite. The inspiration was my step-father's ship collection that sits on the mantle of the fireplace.

This was my self portrait from Drawing 1. Graphite as well.

I made this in drawing 2 it's made out of pastel. It is just a self
portrait in black in white.

I made this out of acrylic paint on a white canvas. I painted it this
summer at a park with my inspirtation being a satue of a
woman and a man's face.

I made this piece also in drawing 2 last year. It is made
out of colored pencil. I did the colors in blue and orange cause they
contrast eachother well.

Need help finishing your summer work?
I will be in my classroom on Tuesday from 8-3, so if you need help/ideas/inspiration and a space to work, you are welcome to come down and work in the classroom for a short time or even all day. You can even use some of your AP class materials if you like. Please let me know if you think you might come.

Photographing Artwork
We are going to do a lesson in the early weeks of school on photographing your artwork cheaply and easily with great results. Obviously, the best way to shoot your artwork is in a professional studio with lighting and an expert, but you can get exactly what you need for your AP portfolio on your own with a plain ol' digital camera and some sunlight if you are careful and willing to try it a few times. To get a head start on next week's lesson, check out the following:

'08-'09 Class: I've got scores!
I've gotten the score report from College Board, and you did extremely well as a group. We (drawing and 2-D combined) had a pass rate this year of over 80%! This is a wonderful accomplishment. Anyone who did not receive a score report in the mail, contact me and I'll give you your score.
Looking forward to seeing the new group next week... I hope you've found some time to work on your summer assignments!
