Questions:

#1 I think i do show a good sort of media. I have used paint, pastel, tissue paper, pastel, and even some colored pencil. I think i do also use a good range of technique. I think i need to work on using more balance and photo reference for me art.

#2 The ones that still need work is #4, 5 & 9. I need just add a little more detail in 9 by adding a background to the back of the face. for 4 & 5 i just started those ones and i just need to plainly finish them and re-shoot them again. I think that the week before i turn in this portfolio i need to re-shoot all of my pieces so that they are prefect to be sent in.

#3 I think the pieces that are the stongest to me is my self portrait, abstract shapes piece, watercolor men & my tools piece. I feel that they are the strongest because they all show my creativity and represent my best techniques.

This an Abstract piece I did over the weekend, It started in my sketchbook
but i dont think it turned out the way I wanted it too. If I have enough time to make
another piece to replace this than this wont go in my portfolio.


I love this one. I started painting with watercolor and than I
decided to add people and trees in marker. :) One of my sketchbook pages

This is one of my breadth pieces, It is an abstract piece. I used acrylic and
colored tisue paper.


This is one of my four concentration pieces I have, I need to
cut off the black border and add something but I dont know what yet.
I used ink and watercolor

Kayla's 3 Slides 1/15

This is the second concentration piece i did of a zebra. I started it in ink
pen and then mixed cool watercolors to create the color inside the ink. I enjoy the start of my concentration and am excited to see how it turns out.

This was the first concentration piece I did of a lion I dont know if Im
going to use it as one of my concentration pieces because it is just right
in the middle of the page. I did this with ink and warm watercolor paint.

This is the concetration piece i just finished. Its a tiger made of purple ink
and than a mix of different watercolors. The lines around the face are
made with watercolor pencil.

I just finished this one this week, I like working with pens. but I saw
that sharpies made alot of noticiable lines so im going to try using different pens
on my next piece.


I had two other pieces at home that I wanted to photograph
but I dont own a camera so I had to post something from my sketchbook.
Its sketches of found art when we had to do the homework assignment about it.

This is the lamp thats keeps haunting me, I don't think it
shows my art ability at all. I just finished a charcoal drawing and I was
tired of working with it. So this lamp is not and never will be finished :)

I did this drawing on the plane ride back from florida. We had alot of turbulence during our flight so i wanted to draw some company. This is not a finished piece but i would like to incomporate this charcter into another piece.


This piece started from our senthetic (i think that is how you spell it) project where we had to choose three things from the wheel and draw it. Well my three words were fish, bubbles, and babies. I enjoyed doing this because i like just being able to free hand something from my imagination. This is not finished but i would like to make it bigger and maybe use something other than ink.

This is my still life. I hate drawing still life's but once i was able to take a picture of it it made me focus more on detail and drawing the right vaules from black to white. I would do something like this again but maybe not tools but something that relates more to me.

This is my line drawing i did back in drawing one, I would like to the abtract feel from it and put it into another piece.


I made this piece in class this year when we did the assignment about the cranes. I really like the back ground with the layer of colors i wish i would of done something differently with the cranes.



This piece i did this year also, I did it with ink pen and i like it alot. If i do something else like this again i would like to add more objects to the picture instead of just person. I want to add a bigger story to the picture.

I made this in drawing 2 it's made out of pastel. It is just a self
portrait in black in white.

I made this out of acrylic paint on a white canvas. I painted it this
summer at a park with my inspirtation being a satue of a
woman and a man's face.

I made this piece also in drawing 2 last year. It is made
out of colored pencil. I did the colors in blue and orange cause they
contrast eachother well.
