I can't think of anything..

india ink

india ink and water colors

conte crayon

This is piece by Christina Entcheva. She works mainly with ink on paper. I would describe her work as intricate and abstract. Something really strikes me about the way she uses the human form (and sometimes animals) and uses such an array of lines and design to morph them. I’ve always liked very detailed pieces and abstract pieces, and she puts both of those together. This kind of inspires me to be a little brave and try a piece that is outside of my comfort zone.

This piece was for the toy assignment. It was done with chalk pastels and charcoal. It was my first time using them, I might use it again but it’s not my favorite media.

This piece was for the origami assignment. It was done with watercolor and sharpie.

This piece was for the found art assignment. It was done with acrylic paint.

AP Studio Art Intro

Hi, I’m Amanda. I’ve taken photo 1 and 2 with Martin, pottery with Delaney, paint studio with Donahue, art studio, draw studio and advanced draw studio with Timko here at Evergreen. I’d probably have to say that my favorite media to work with is oil pastels. I really like doing high contrast black and white pieces. I also like working with acrylic paints and clay.
