Breadth Overload

I need to get rid of one piece to have 12 and I'm stuck. Any suggestions?

There's a pretty decent range of styles and techniques. Though I think it is lacking some more abstract pieces and could use less realism.

I think the slides are pretty good so they dont need reshot, and all these pieces are finished.

I think my strongest pieces include the hand painting, the converse watercolor piece, the painting of the girl wearing the mask, my flower scratchboard, and the oil pastel drawing of my necklace.

My Current breadth

1. I have a lot of faces and hands. I would like to do an abstract piece with a good color scheme.

2. Most of my pictures need a little more work. The green and yellow picture I need to take a picture of the completed version and my warped picture needs a new slide cause of a shadow. I also want to rework my realistic

3. My strongest pictures are definitly my crane picture(bottom right) and my mask guy(center right)

Questions:
#1 I think i do show a good sort of media. I have used paint, pastel, tissue paper, pastel, and even some colored pencil. I think i do also use a good range of technique. I think i need to work on using more balance and photo reference for me art.
#2 The ones that still need work is #4, 5 & 9. I need just add a little more detail in 9 by adding a background to the back of the face. for 4 & 5 i just started those ones and i just need to plainly finish them and re-shoot them again. I think that the week before i turn in this portfolio i need to re-shoot all of my pieces so that they are prefect to be sent in.
#3 I think the pieces that are the stongest to me is my self portrait, abstract shapes piece, watercolor men & my tools piece. I feel that they are the strongest because they all show my creativity and represent my best techniques.

4/16 = Last blog post before submission!

Your portfolios are due in just a few weeks now! This is your last chance to get critique in this online forum before you submit on May 7th. For this post, I would like you to post ALL of the slides from your breadth portfolio.

STEP 1:
Go to http://www.picture2life.com/ and make a photo collage of your work. Put it at the top of your post (should be 12 pieces, fewer for 3D). Picture size is "large."

STEP 2:
Answer the following questions in your entry:
  1. Is there a range of styles and techniques? If not, what is missing?
  2. What needs work/reshooting?
  3. Which pieces are strongest?
STEP 3:
Commenting will be required for a grade. I would like for everyone to give and receive at least three comment critiques, so please try to spread out your critique, so everyone should make three comments addressing the artwork and information that you see. Please don't answer if someone has already received three comment critiques.

This is an unfinished piece of Cody, I'm not so sure i want to only keep it as a graphite drawing.

This is a drawing i did on my sketchbook that i decided to add color too; it's not finished yet. So far it's only graphite and water colors.

This is a finished piece, self portrait. I used conte crayon, acrylic paint, graphite, and a black sharpie.

This is a piece that I edited, I'm still not so sure of it. Its all done with acrylic.
