This piece was for the toy assignment. It was done with chalk pastels and charcoal. It was my first time using them, I might use it again but it’s not my favorite media.
This piece was for the origami assignment. It was done with watercolor and sharpie.
This piece was for the found art assignment. It was done with acrylic paint.
Mugs and more...
Jason c!
This piece is made of graphite pencil and colored pencils. I made this piece have a meaning with the words to add more intrest, it was just something that popped into my head at the time.
This piece I made in drawing studio last year I think? I thought it was one my best pieces of that class which is why i chose it. It's made of graphite pencil. It was hard to to incorporate hands in a landscape but in the end personally I thought I did really well with it.
The story of a crow and his donut
I TA for Timko second period. They were doing the contrasto paper assignment, so I just had to do it. I probably won't use it for AP, I just had fun. Also, I was successful in not stabbing myself or anyone else with the xacto knife, so that's pretty good considering my ungraceful tendencies.
In this photo, we see a charcoal depiction of a storm trooper and Darth Vader finally expressing their long-hidden love affair. I wonder what kind of cake would be there. Also, could storm troopers be female? Does that make this a same-sex marriage? DARTH VADER LIVES IN CALIFORNIA?!?!
This was for the crane assignment. It took me a considerable amount of time and I pulled a Miriam Huerta and stayed up until four in the morning on it. This is the fourth version of the crane assignment, and the only relatively succesful one.
October Blog Post
This piece is of my younger brother, his name is Blake. I took this photograph of him in my back yard. It was done in pencil, and took about 4hours to complete. I feel that the original photograph was much stronger.
This piece includes a heart and my name in chinese. I used warm colors for the heart and cool colors for the background to show contrast (and that it is a warm heart). If i could go back and change something on this piece, i would make the background color more vibrant. (oil pastel and pen)
This piece in a way is accidental art, bacause it was going to be a flower until i messed up.... then it was abstract :P (bic pen & water color)

October
These are two of my pieces that I have shown in class. Seeing these makes me think about how much I really need to work on making slides, particularly in the picture taking part.
The bottle one is like a time capsule, memorabilia, and message in a bottle from my past. I am really emotionally connected to this piece.
This umbrella/ parasol, was the results of me trying to think of origami as a building block to a bigger picture. I think it's kind of sloppy, especially in the slide, but hopefully I'll figure something out for this piece.

AP Art Photos
This was for the accidental art project. I messed with my settings on my camera and didn't use a tripod so it turned out blurry. I played with the levels and got the light to look more bright in some places and darker in others.
FRIDAY!!!!!!!! ^_^
This is a piece i did the other weekend its acrylic on tagboard. I was thinking the color scheme idea seems like it might make a good concentration perhaps?
This is acrylic on masonite of our toy project. I think it looks almost finished not that i see it edited but I can work on it some more later =)
This is india ink and water color for our crane project. It needs a new/better slide for it.

A Piece of Mine:
3 Pieces For October
The first photo is a picture of my sister Laura who is 23. She is the 'princess' of the family, so i thought it would be cool to dress her up in a tu-tu and take pictures of her in a park.
The second photo is a picture of a leaf that I took in April at my grandparents house. It shows "April Showers Bring May Flowers".
The third photo is a picture of a building i took in Paris, France. It shows the unique architechture in Europe and I loved the effect of the clouds behind it because it looks godly almost.
Blog Assignment, 10/15
Good morning! Here is your assignment for today:
- Do your monthly blog post: 3 edited slides with short commentary on each piece. Please do ONE POST ONLY, (i.e., do not post three pieces in three separate posts). Try to finish your post by about 8:15 to leave time for comments. (4 points)
- THEN, starting at 8:15, you will make four comments on four different blog posts from the month of October. Please do not comment on someone's work that already has four comments. When you are finished, everyone should have four comments on their own post. These comments should consist of encouragement, critique, and other constructive feedback. Please be specific about what you like or what you think needs improvement. (1 point for each comment, 4 total)
- If you have time today, please go back to all of your past posts and make sure they are labeled with your first name (spelled correctly) and the word "slides."
